Okay, so the other day I was messing around with words, you know, just for fun, and I got this idea to look up words that end with “foe”. I mean, how many words can there really be with that ending, right?
So, I started by just trying to think of some off the top of my head. “Foe” itself was an obvious one, but I was drawing a blank after that. I figured there had to be at least a few more. So I grabbed my phone and started searching.
I went on a few different websites that had word lists. Some of them were for word games like Scrabble, and others were just general vocabulary sites. I typed in the search bar, you know, “words ending in foe” and hit enter.
- The first site I found had only one word listed: “foe”. I thought, “That can’t be right!”
- Then I went to another site and it had two words. It included “foe” and then another one that I didn’t even recognize and had to look up. It turned out to be “binfoe”.
So, I ended up writing them down, these two words, foe and binfoe. Not a huge list, but hey, I learned a new word, which is always cool. I spent a while reading some definitions of the word binfoe and some articles that included it, I guess it’s a word but I’ve never heard it used in any conversation before. I guess I should start using it more!
It was a fun little exercise though, and it just goes to show that you can find some interesting stuff when you start digging into words. I think I might do this again, explore some other endings.
