Okay, so I’ve been digging into this cold case lately, the one about Brenda DuPont. It’s been bugging me, so I decided to do some serious investigating of my own. I started, like always, by hitting up Google. I typed in “where is joenell rubin now” and started sifting through the results.
The first thing I found was a bunch of legal stuff.
- Turns out, this Joenell Rubin was charged by a grand jury on July 19, 2012.
- The indictment was related to something that happened way back on May 21, 1988. That’s a long time ago!
I kept digging and found some background on the victim, Brenda DuPont.
- Apparently, her family was going through some tough times.
- She lived just a few houses away from her daughter and was trying to get custody of her granddaughter. Sounds like a real mess.
Then I came across some news articles. Man, this is where it got interesting.
- They said that Joenell Rubin, who was 45 years old in 2012, got his DNA matched to semen found on Brenda DuPont’s body.
- They found her body years earlier, and this DNA match was a major breakthrough.
So, I pieced it together. This Joenell Rubin guy was charged in 2012 for something that happened back in 1988. It seems like he’s the one who did it, because of this DNA evidence. It took them a long time, but it looks like they finally caught the guy. I mean, it must be him, right? DNA is pretty solid proof. Crazy how these cold cases get solved after so many years.
