Okay, so I saw this “FitFighter” thing on Shark Tank, you know, those steel hose weights? I thought, “That looks kinda cool, might be good for a different workout.” So, I decided to give them a try and see what happened after the show, if they really took off or not.
The Beginning – Finding FitFighter
First, I searched for it online. It wasn’t hard to find, many shops sell it, so they seem to be doing ok.
Getting My Hands on Them
I ordered a pair – went with the 15-pounders, figuring that’s a decent weight to start with. They arrived pretty quickly, which was nice. Unboxing them, they felt solid, not cheap or flimsy. I liked that. The material, that steel hose, is pretty tough. Feels like it can handle being thrown around.

The Workout Struggle
Now, the actual working out part… that was interesting. I tried following some of the exercises I’d seen in those ads, you know, the slams and the swings. Man, it’s harder than it looks! My form was probably terrible at first. My back was a bit sore the next day, definitely used some muscles I don’t normally use.
- Day 1-3: Pure awkwardness. Lots of YouTube tutorials.
- Day 4-7: Started to get the hang of some basic moves. Still felt clumsy.
- Week 2: Okay, now we’re talking. I can actually feel a difference.
Mixing It Up
I started mixing the FitFighter stuff into my regular routine. I’d do some squats, some rows, then grab the steel hoses for some slams and rotations. It’s a good way to break up the monotony, and it really gets your heart rate up.
The Verdict (So Far)
Honestly, I’m still using them. It’s not my only workout, but it’s a great addition. It’s tough, it’s different, and it makes me feel like a bit of a badass, swinging those things around. I think that appearance shark tank boosted it!
I think they’re onto something. It’s a simple product, but sometimes the simplest things are the most effective.
