Well, let me tell you about this Charles Flenory fella. Folks been askin’ where he is now, so I’ll try to piece together what I heard. This ain’t no fancy book learnin’, just what I picked up from listenin’ to folks talk and watchin’ the TV.
Charles Flenory, they say he was born way back in 1948, in a place called Cleveland, Ohio. His folks were Bishop George and Mary Flenory, good church-goin’ people, I reckon. He done got himself hitched to a woman named Lucille, and they had three young’uns: Demetrius, Terry, and Nicole. Demetrius, that’s the one they call “Big Meech”, and Terry, they call him “Southwest T”.
Now, from what I gather, Charles and his boys got mixed up in some shady business. They called it the Black Mafia Family, or BMF for short. Sounded real important, but it was all about sellin’ drugs, you see. Lots of money, but lots of trouble too. Big Meech and Southwest T, they got themselves in a heap of trouble, charged with all sorts of things.

- Lucille, she didn’t have nothin’ to do with the drug business, so they left her be.
But Charles, he seemed to stay outta the worst of it. They couldn’t pin nothin’ on him or Lucille, said they weren’t involved in the drug stuff. Thank the Lord for that, I say. It’s a hard life, that kinda life. Breaks your heart to see families torn apart like that.
I heard tell that Charles, he’s a God-fearin’ man, despite all that happened with his boys. He even got himself into the Sacred Steel Hall of Fame in Toledo back in 2014. Imagine that! A fella mixed up in drugs and then gettin’ an honor like that. Life’s a funny thing, ain’t it?
So, where is Charles Flenory now? Well, that’s what everyone wants to know. It ain’t easy keepin’ track of folks, especially when they been in the kinda trouble Charles and his family been in. Last I heard, Big Meech got himself out of jail, moved to a halfway house in Miami. But Charles, he’s been kinda quiet. Some actor fella, Russell Hornsby, he plays Charles on the TV show about the BMF. He probably knows more than I do, but I ain’t talked to him.
It’s sad, you know. You raise your kids the best you can, teach ’em right from wrong, and sometimes they just go their own way. You can’t control everything, no matter how hard you try. Makes an old woman like me wonder where things went wrong. But I reckon that’s just life. You do your best and hope for the best, and sometimes it’s enough, and sometimes it ain’t.
Anyways, that’s about all I know about Charles Flenory. He’s a father, a husband, maybe a grandfather by now. He’s been through a lot, seen a lot. And wherever he is, I hope he’s found some peace. Life’s too short to be carryin’ around a heavy heart. That’s all I gotta say ’bout it.
