What to Watch After I Spit on Your Grave 2: More Disturbing and Twisted Revenge Flicks

Okay, so, I’ve been on this crazy movie binge lately, right? And I stumbled upon this flick, “I Spit On Your Grave 2”. Man, it’s intense. But it got me thinking, what other movies are out there that give off that same raw, revenge-driven vibe? So, I did what any normal person would do – I went down the rabbit hole of the internet to find some similar movies.

First off, I gotta say, the “I Spit On Your Grave” series is not for the faint of heart. I mean, the first one messed me up for days. It’s about this writer, Jennifer Hills, who gets brutally attacked, and then she goes all out for revenge. The second one follows a similar path, with Katie, a model trying to make it in New York. Same deal, brutal assault, and then payback time.

So, I started my search by just typing in “movies like I Spit On Your Grave 2” into Google. Boom, tons of forums and lists popped up. I spent hours just reading through people’s recommendations. Some folks were suggesting the 2010 remake of the original “I Spit On Your Grave,” which I’ve seen, and yeah, it’s just as disturbing. Someone mentioned something called “Ms .45” from 1981. I haven’t seen it, but the title alone sounds intriguing.

I also found some interesting-sounding movies that I hadn’t heard of before. There’s this one called “Revenger” about a former detective who goes to some crazy prison island to avenge his family. That sounds wild. And then there’s “Your Son”, which is about a father’s revenge after his son gets beaten up. I even saw someone mention “Last House on the Left” and “Irreversible”. I’ve seen those too, and they definitely fit the bill, super intense and disturbing.

My Watchlist

Here’s what I’ve added to my watchlist so far:

  • Ms .45 (1981) – I need to find this one and watch it.
  • Revenger – Prison island revenge? Sign me up.
  • Your Son – A father’s revenge story always gets me.

Honestly, after watching all these heavy movies, I might need to switch to comedies for a while. But it’s fascinating how many movies are out there that explore these dark themes of revenge. It’s like, you push someone too far, and they snap. Anyway, if you’re into these kinds of intense films, you should check out the ones I mentioned. Just be warned, they’re not easy to watch.

And you know, after all this searching and watching, I realized something. Revenge movies, as disturbing as they can be, they tap into something primal in us. It’s that sense of justice, of righting a wrong, even if it’s in the most extreme way. I’m not saying I condone any of this stuff in real life, but in the world of movies, it makes for a gripping and, let’s be honest, sometimes satisfying story. You know what I mean?

Oh, and one more thing. I also saw that they made a “I Spit On Your Grave III: Vengeance is Mine.” I think I’ll watch that one too, just to see how they continue the story. I just hope it’s not too much for me. I need a break from all this darkness soon, haha.
