Alright, let’s talk about this “The New Look” show, episode five, you know? I watched it, and I’m gonna tell you what happened, the way I see it. No fancy words, just plain talk.
So, this episode, it starts at that fancy place, the Theatre De L’opera. Lots of people, all dressed up. You know, the kind of place I’d never set foot in, all them highfalutin folks. Anyway, things are happening there, important stuff, I guess. But then it shifts, see? It goes to Christian’s home. And guess who shows up? Catherine. But she ain’t looking too good, that poor gal. Sick as a dog, she is. Real sick.
Now, this whole show, it’s been kinda up and down, you know? Like a bumpy road. Some parts good, some parts… not so much. But this episode, it gets you thinking. About life, about how things change. Like they say, uncertainty, that’s the new normal. Battles and all that, they change everything. You just gotta accept it, I reckon.
- One minute you’re up, next minute you’re down.
- One minute you’re healthy, next you’re sick as a dog like poor Catherine.
- One minute life makes sense and the next it’s all turned on it’s head.
Then there’s this job offer for Christian. A big one, sounds like. A job that’ll change everything for him. His whole life, turned upside down, just like that. Makes you wonder, wouldn’t it? If someone offered me a job like that… well, I probably wouldn’t take it. Too old for all that fuss. But Christian, he’s young, got his whole life ahead of him. So he takes it, or maybe he’s thinking about it real hard. The show makes it seem like a big deal, anyway.
And Coco? She’s off in Switzerland, all by herself. They say she’s “self-exiled,” whatever that means. Sounds fancy, but I bet she’s just lonely. Outsider, they call her. Guess she doesn’t fit in with them fancy folks either. Maybe she should come on down here, have a cup of coffee with me. We could talk about chickens and gardens, that’d be a change of pace from high fashion.
The show, you can watch it on that Apple TV+ thing. I don’t know much about that, but my grandson showed me. Lots of shows on there, he says. This “The New Look” one, it’s about fashion and war and all sorts of things. Not my usual cup of tea, but it keeps you guessing, that’s for sure. You never know what is coming around the next corner.
And there’s this other part, about some fella named Spatz and a woman named Elsa. They say she’s “psycho,” which means crazy, I guess. And this episode, it’s chaotic, they say. Lots of things happening at once, people yelling and carrying on. I tell you, it’s like a hen house when a fox gets in. All feathers and squawking.
Then there’s talk about loyalty and fights. Twins fighting each other, can you imagine? Sounds like something out of a soap opera. And someone named Ser Criston, sending a fella on a suicide mission. That ain’t right, I tell you. Life’s too precious to be throwing it away like that. But that’s what the show is about I guess, all this drama and messiness of life.
And there’s more, about a bombing and some folks trying to unite the U.K. and keep Scotland from leaving. Politics, you know? Always causing trouble. And then there’s a warrior woman, Bow Lion they call her, with special skills. Sounds like a superhero movie, not a fashion show. But I guess they mix it all together, to keep you entertained. And then Belly, another character, is looking for someone named Conrad, needs proof he’s alive. Sounds like a soap opera, I tell ya!
So, that’s episode five, as far as I can tell. Lots of things happening, people changing, life being messy. It’s a bit of a jumble if you ask me, but it keeps you watching, I guess. Makes you think about all sorts of things, even if you don’t understand half of it. And that poor Catherine, I hope she gets better. Being sick ain’t no fun, I tell ya. Not one bit.
And that’s all I got to say about “The New Look” episode five. If you like fashion, drama, and a whole lot of confusion, then give it a watch. But don’t expect it to be all sunshine and roses. Life ain’t like that, and neither is this show. It’s complicated, just like the real world.
