Alright, so, let’s talk about this The Clearing show, episode two, you know? It’s all a bit much for an old woman like me, but I’ll tell ya what I saw. They call it a “recap,” but I just call it tellin’ ya what happened, plain and simple.
So, this girl, Asha, she’s gone missin’. Scary stuff, right? Reminds me of that time old Mrs. Henderson’s cat went wanderin’ off, never saw him again. Anyway, this Asha girl, she’s with some strange folks, a real weird bunch. They’re callin’ her “sister” and teachin’ her all sorts of odd things, somethin’ about “Blackmarsh” and some “Aunties.” Sounds like a bunch of chickens to me, clucking around and bossin’ everyone.
Then there’s this woman, Amy, or maybe she’s Freya now? Hard to keep track with these city folk and their fancy names. She’s got somethin’ to do with it all, seems like she’s been through the wringer herself. They said she had a “traumatic childhood.” Well, who didn’t? I grew up haulin’ water and milkin’ cows before the sun even thought about risin’! That’s what I call traumatic!
- One thing’s for sure, this Adrienne woman, she’s the one pullin’ the strings. She’s like the rooster in the henhouse, all puffed up and makin’ a fuss.
- And this Dr. Latham fella, he’s mixed up in it too. He was at some lodge where Adrienne was preachin’. Preachin’ about what, I ain’t quite sure. Probably a whole lot of nothin’, if you ask me.
Amy, or Freya, she found that lodge, snoopin’ around like a fox in the henhouse. Latham, he knew she was there, called her name and all. But she got away, quick as a rabbit. Good for her, I say. Don’t let them city slickers catch ya!
There was also somethin’ about a phone call. Hannah, she got a call from Adrienne sayin’ she was comin’ to see Asha. That sent Hannah into a panic. I would be too, if some strange woman called me about my young’un. And somethin’ about a shoe? Amy saw Sara’s shoe on the ground. Now, what’s that all about? Did she lose it runnin’? Did someone take it? Makes you think, don’t it?
This whole show is about this girl goin’ missin’, and this woman, Amy, dealin’ with her past. Seems like it’s all tied together somehow, these “Aunties” and Adrienne and Blackmarsh. They keep sayin’ it’s on “Hulu” and “Disney+”, whatever them things are. Sounds like fancy picture shows to me. Back in my day, we had to use our imaginations!
It’s a real head-scratcher, this show. Lots of folks runnin’ around, hidin’ secrets and doin’ strange things. It’s like tryin’ to catch a greased pig, just when you think you got it, it slips right outta your hands. But I’ll tell ya what, I’m gonna keep watchin’. Gotta see how it all ends, even if it gives me a headache.
And that’s about the size of it. Episode two, all wrapped up in a nutshell. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed the chickens. They’re probably wonderin’ where I got off to.
So, you young folks keep your eyes peeled, and don’t go wanderin’ off with strangers. You never know what kinda trouble you might find yourself in. And that’s the truth, as sure as I’m standin’ here.
I tell ya, city folk and their problems. Back in my day, we didn’t have all this drama. We just had to worry about gettin’ the crops in and keepin’ the varmints outta the garden. But times have changed, I guess. And now we got these fancy TV shows to tell us all about it.
I hope that Asha girl gets found safe and sound. And that Amy/Freya woman gets some peace. And as for Adrienne and those Aunties, well, they got some explainin’ to do. That’s for sure.
Anyways, that’s all I got to say about that show. If you ask me, it’s a whole lotta fuss about nothin’. But folks seem to like it, so what do I know?
