Okay, so the other day I was thinking, I really miss “Brothers & Sisters.” That show was the best! It got me thinking about what other shows out there are like it, you know, shows that really dive deep into family drama and all that good stuff. So I started to do a little digging.
Started with Remembering What I Loved
First, I just sat there and thought about what made “Brothers & Sisters” so great. It was all about the Walker family, right? They had so many secrets, so many issues, but at the end of the day, they were family. I loved how the show explored those relationships, how they fought, how they made up, all of it. That’s what I wanted to find more of.
Then I Hit the Internet
Of course, my next step was to jump online. I started looking around, reading what other people thought. There were a few names that kept popping up in forums and on social media: “Parenthood,” “This Is Us,” and “Six Feet Under.” People were saying these shows had the same kind of family dynamics, the same kind of emotional depth. I also saw someone mention “The Americans” and “West Wing,” which was kind of surprising, but hey, I was open to anything.
Checked Out Where to Watch
Once I had a few names, I needed to figure out where I could actually watch these shows. I checked streaming services, you know the usual ones. Some were on one, some were on another. It took a bit of searching, but I managed to track down where most of them were available.
Made a Watchlist
After all that, I made myself a little watchlist. I decided to start with “Parenthood” because I saw a lot of people comparing it directly to “Brothers & Sisters.” Then I figured I’d move on to “This Is Us” and “Six Feet Under.” I’m still not sure about “The Americans” and “West Wing,” but I put them on the list just in case.
Started Watching
- Parenthood: I’ve just started this one, and wow, it’s good! It really does have that “Brothers & Sisters” vibe. It’s all about this big family, the Bravermans, and their ups and downs. It’s got that perfect mix of humor and drama.
- This Is Us: I have heard so many great things about it. I know it jumps around in time a lot, which sounds interesting.
- Six Feet Under: This one’s a bit older, but people say it’s a classic. It’s about a family that runs a funeral home, which is definitely different.
