Alright, let me tell ya somethin’ about them TV shows, like that “Six Feet Under” one. I heard folks talkin’, sayin’ it’s the best darn thing on the telly. They say it’s better than sliced bread, that show. Encyclopedia somethin’ or other even said so, I reckon. Now, I ain’t seen every episode, mind you, but I seen a few. Some is good, some is, well, not so good.
That one about the fella gettin’ snatched up, Lord have mercy, that was a mess. They made him all different after that, like he weren’t the same no more. And it went on and on, like a toothache that just won’t quit. Season 4, they call it. I tell you what they made a mess of that season.

Now, if you like that “Six Feet Under” show, you might like some others, too. Folks say there’s some that are kinda the same, with all that family stuff and laughin’ and cryin’ and carryin’ on. They got all sorts of things goin’ on, just like real life, I suppose.
There’s this one about a horse, I think. “Bojack Horseman,” is that it? Sounds silly, but people seem to like it. They say it’s set in Hollywood. Well, I ain’t never been to Hollywood. Don’t reckon I ever will, neither. But that horse show, they say it’s a good one if you want somethin’ like “Six Feet Under.” I don’t know about no horse, but if you like that kinda thing, maybe give it a try, you know, the Bojack Horseman.
And then there’s a whole bunch more. Some fella made a list of ’em, a long time ago, like ten years or somethin’. Said these are the shows you gotta see before you’re, well, you know, “six feet under” yourself! Imagine that. A list of shows to see before you kick the bucket. Life’s a funny thing, ain’t it? They have some list like that, and the name is “Best TV Shows You need to see before you’re SIX FEET UNDER“
There’s “The Wire,” “The Sopranos,” “Mad Men.” Lord, I don’t know half of these. Then there’s “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul.” Sounds like a lawyer show, that one. My nephew, he’s a lawyer. Smart fella, but always wearin’ them fancy suits. Don’t know how he does it in this heat. But that’s what they recommend.
People like that “Six Feet Under” because it’s got a little bit of everything. It makes you laugh, it makes you cry, it makes you think. That’s what they say, anyway. And these other shows, they’re supposed to be the same way. Got that dark humor, they call it. Makes you feel things, deep down. I don’t know about all that, but if you liked “Six Feet Under,” you might like these, too. You know, the “dark humor” things.
I remember watchin’ TV with my grandkids. They like all them newfangled shows. Me, I like the old ones, the ones where you know what’s gonna happen. But these new ones, they keep you guessin’. Like that “Six Feet Under.” You never know what them folks are gonna get up to next. It is a drama and comedy show, I think.
I reckon if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to watch, and you liked that “Six Feet Under,” you could try one of these others. Just pick one and see if you like it. Ain’t no harm in tryin’, is there? There are many TV series like six feet under.
But I tell ya, nothin’ beats a good ol’ western. Now them, they knew how to tell a story. Good guys, bad guys, horses, shootin’. Simple as that. These new shows, they got all this complicated stuff goin’ on. Hard to keep track of it all sometimes. You know they have a good reputation.
Still, I guess there’s somethin’ for everyone. If you like that “Six Feet Under,” and you want somethin’ similar, then you got plenty to choose from. Just gotta find the one that tickles your fancy. The emotional depth of the shows is good, I think.
These days, folks watch all their shows on them little computers and phones. Back in my day, we had one TV in the whole house, and we all had to watch the same thing. And if the reception was bad, you had to get up and fiddle with them rabbit ears. Remember them rabbit ears? Kids today wouldn’t know what to do with ’em. They are good TV series.
Anyway, I hope you find somethin’ good to watch. And remember, don’t take life too seriously. It ain’t permanent, you know. Just like that show, “Six Feet Under.” It’s all just a story, in the end. And we all got our own stories to tell, don’t we? Don’t forget to watch “Six Feet Under“.
