Okay, so I was browsing around, looking for something new to watch, and I kept seeing recommendations for this movie, “It Lives Inside.” I’m a big horror fan, but I’m picky, you know? So, I wanted to find some other movies that were kinda similar before I committed. Here’s how I went about it.
First, I jumped on my go-to movie site, you know, the one with all the ratings and reviews. I typed in “It Lives Inside” and scrolled down to the “More Like This” section. Usually, that’s a pretty good starting point.
The first few suggestions were… okay. Some I’d already seen, some just didn’t look that interesting. So, I decided to get a little more specific. I started thinking, what is it about “It Lives Inside” that people are liking? I read a couple of reviews, and it seemed like the big things were the cultural elements, the creepy atmosphere, and the focus on a teenage protagonist.
With that in mind, I opened up a new tab and did a search for “horror movies with Indian-American characters”. Boom! That gave me a whole bunch of new options, some of which I hadn’t even heard of before.
My curated list:
- Evil Eye :Sounded interesting.
- The Wailing : This one kept popping up, so I added it to my list.
- Relic : I checked out the trailer, looked decent.
Next, I went back to the original movie site and looked up each of those movies.I watched trailers, read some more reviews, and basically just tried to get a feel for whether they’d actually be something I’d enjoy.
After all that digging, I narrowed it down to a handful of movies that seemed like they’d hit the same notes as “It Lives Inside.” I’ve got them saved in my watchlist now, and I’m pretty excited to check them out. Researching and preparing to watch is my favorite.
