Okay, here’s my experience with reviewing stuff on the Jem Memphis website, written in the style you requested:
So, I was messing around online, trying to find some good reviews, you know, the usual. Ended up on this Jem Memphis site. I’d heard some things about it, figured I’d give it a shot. First thing I did was just poke around, see what kind of stuff they had reviews of. Lots of things like novels, you know, that you can find on other similar websites. Nothing too crazy or out there. It was, well, pretty much what I expected.
Then I started actually reading some reviews. I clicked on a couple that sounded interesting. One was about a new novel, and another was something about music in Memphis, since that’s a big deal there, right? Blues and rock and roll and all that. Anyway, I read through them. They were alright, nothing to write home about. Kind of basic, just people’s opinions. I mean, that’s what reviews are, but I was hoping for something a little more, I don’t know, insightful?
After that, I decided to try writing my own review. Figured, why not? I picked a novel I’d read recently, one I had some strong feelings about. I started typing, just letting it all out. My thoughts, what I liked, what I didn’t, the whole shebang. It felt pretty good to just express myself, you know? I wrote and wrote, got it all down on the page.
Once I was done, I read it over a few times, made a few tweaks here and there. Then I hit the submit button. And that was it. My review was up there, for anyone to see. It felt kind of cool, like I was part of the conversation, you know? It was like, “Here’s what I think,” and maybe someone else would read it and think about it too.

Overall, it was a decent experience. Nothing life-changing, but it was cool to check out the site, read some stuff, and put my own thoughts out there. Might do it again sometime. Maybe check out some more of those Memphis music reviews, since that’s kind of interesting. We’ll see. I finished my review project that day, and I am going to share it next time.
