In the end, Episode 7 of The Pacific is one of the hardest ones to watch, because it shows how far gone these boys are, how much they’ve lost, and how much more they’re gonna have to give before it’s all over. Peleliu’s a brutal place, and this episode pulls no punches about the cost of war.
