So, the episode goes on, and we get to know more about these folks in the show. Mat, he’s a man who got wrongly convicted of a murder he didn’t do. Poor fella. The thing is, even though the courts let him out, he’s still in hot water, ain’t he? This time, episode 2 doesn’t make things any easier for him. Just when you think he’s getting a break, bam! More lies, more folks pointing fingers at him. And to make it worse, he’s getting text messages from someone who saw him at the scene of a crime. Yep, a mysterious text says, “YOU WERE THERE. Now, about that Carolyn gal, she’s in the middle of all this mess. The episode also drops a bombshell—that poor Carolyn was pregnant when she died. I tell ya, that was a shock to me. And to make matters even worse, it turns out that the baby was Rusty’s! That just got my head spinning. It’s like a whole new set of questions about who really did what and why.
And just when you think it’s all wrapped up nice and tidy, the episode throws another curveball. They test Olivia, and luckily, she survives. But it ain’t over yet, not by a long shot. That bullet she got, well, it missed her and Mat’s baby. Seems like that was some good luck, huh? And to make things even more complicated, now Mat and Olivia don’t have any secrets left between them. Makes you wonder how deep all this really goes, doesn’t it?
