Alright, let’s talk about this Friendship Game thing, you know, the one them youngsters are all yappin’ about. I ain’t seen it myself, mind you, my eyes ain’t what they used to be for all that flickering screen nonsense. But from what I hear, it’s about a bunch of teenagers and some kinda weird whatchamacallit.
So, like, these kids, they find this…thing. I dunno, some kinda object or somethin’. And this thing, it starts messing with their heads, makin’ ’em turn on each other. You know how kids are, always squabblin’ and whatnot, but this here thing makes it worse, way worse.
- First off, there’s this girl, Courtney. She’s all about gettin’ into college, which, I guess, is a big deal for young folks these days. But that college stuff, it kinda messes up the whole friend group, see? They start driftin’ apart.
- Then there’s this boy, Rob. Seems he wants to be, well, good in bed. Don’t ask me what that means, I’m too old for that kind of talk. But he ends up sleepin’ with all three of the girls, which, let me tell ya, that ain’t gonna end well. Causes a big ol’ fight, I bet.
- And then there’s Zooza. Poor girl, seems she’s got some baggage with her daddy or somethin’. And if her friends are leavin’, she don’t wanna be stuck with the memories of ’em. Sounds like a heavy heart, that one.
- And there’s another girl named Cotton. They all get together in Cotton’s room. I don’t know what they are doing in the room though.
Anyways, they all get together, holdin’ hands on this weird thing, and they gotta say their deepest secrets out loud. Now, I tell you what, secrets are best kept buried, that’s what I always say. But these kids, they spill the beans, and that’s when things really go downhill.
This Friendship Game, it ain’t no game at all, it’s more like a test. A test of how strong their friendship is. And from what I hear, it ain’t that strong. This thing, it pokes and prods at their weak spots, makin’ ’em jealous and angry and all sorts of things. It’s like them old wives’ tales, you know? Mess with the wrong things, and you’ll pay the price.
It’s a horror movie, they say. A thriller. About friendship, but not the good kind. The kind that breaks and burns and leaves you with nothin’ but heartache. Scooter Corkle, that’s the fella who made it. And that Peyton List girl, she’s in it too. Heard she’s a pretty face, but I ain’t got no time for faces, it’s the story that matters.
This ain’t the first time someone’s made a movie about friends fightin’ and whatnot. It’s an old story, really. But this one, it’s got this weird object, this game thing, that makes it different. It ain’t just people bein’ mean to each other, it’s somethin’ else, somethin’ darker.
So, that’s the Friendship Game explained, as best as I can tell ya. A bunch of kids, a weird object, and a whole lotta trouble. Sounds like a mess to me, but then again, I ain’t a teenager anymore. I’m just an old woman who’s seen enough drama in real life, I don’t need to watch it on a screen. But if you’re young and like them spooky stories, maybe you’ll like it. Just don’t go blamin’ me if it gives you nightmares.
And remember, friendship is a precious thing, don’t go around messing with it, or you might end up like them kids in the movie, broken and alone.
From what I can understand this movie is set in Canada so the actors are speaking in Canadian English Language.
And that’s all I got to say about that.
