The Clara Ward Extreme Makeover: check her unbelievable change.

The Clara Ward Extreme Makeover: check her unbelievable change.

Okay, here’s my attempt at a blog post, following your instructions:

Alright, so I decided to do the whole “Clara Ward Extreme Makeover” thing. I’d seen it around, and honestly, my place was looking rough. I’m not gonna lie, it was a total disaster zone.

First things first, I attacked the clutter. Seriously, it was everywhere. I had piles of… stuff… I don’t even know what half of it was. Old magazines, clothes I haven’t worn in years, random knick-knacks – you name it, it was there.

I got some big trash bags and just started chucking stuff. It felt so good. If I hadn’t used it in six months, it was GONE. No mercy. Ruthless. I think I filled, like, five bags just with junk.

The Deep Clean

Next, I tackled the actual cleaning part. It’s not fun, folks, not fun at all. My floors were Sticky. My windows were Filthy. Everything needed a deep clean, all I did was use soap, water, and a mop to get rid of the sticky floors.

I scrubbed the bathroom until it sparkled.

I wiped down all the surfaces.

I even cleaned the inside of the microwave (which was… an experience).

Getting all of that done took longer than I thought, but I kept at it.

  • Broom
  • Rags

I bought some new, cheap curtains.

Then I rearranged the furniture. I just moved things around until it felt… right. I didn’t have a real plan, just kind of winged it.

Finally, I added a couple of small, inexpensive touches that I thought would finish the look.

I wanted it all to look inviting, and a place that I could really rest in.

It was a LOT of work, I’m not gonna sugarcoat it. But honestly, it was worth it. My place looks SO much better. It feels… calmer. Cleaner. More like a home, and less like a storage unit. I can actually breathe in here now.

If you’re thinking about doing a makeover, I say go for it! Just be prepared to put in some serious elbow grease. But the result? Totally worth it.
