Okay, so I decided to check out the Union Ridge Wildlife Center. I’d heard some buzz about it and, you know, I’m always up for something different.
Getting Started
First thing, I looked them up. Got the address, checked out their hours – gotta make sure they’re open when you get there, right? It looked pretty straightforward. Seemed like a place that focused on rescuing and rehabilitating animals.
The Visit
So, I drove out there. The place was a little…rustic. Not in a bad way, just, you know, not super fancy. It felt very genuine, like these people were really focused on the animals, not making it look like some big tourist trap.

The Animals
- I saw some big cats. They had these enclosures, and you could tell the animals had plenty of room.
- There were other animals, too. It felt like a real mix.
I watched these animals, and that got me thinking about how they got there. So I ended up reading some of the info they had posted. I don’t remember the specifics, but i was reading some stories .
My Thoughts
Honestly, it wasn’t what I expected, in a good way. It wasn’t a zoo. It was something…more. It felt like I was seeing animals being cared for, getting a second chance. I really admire them.
It’s definitely a place I’d recommend. You can support a good cause. It’s not just about seeing animals; it’s about seeing them being helped.
