Alright, so I just finished reading “Such a Bad Influence,” and let me tell you, it was a wild ride from start to finish. I mean, I started it thinking it would be a light, fluffy read, but boy was I wrong.
So, I dove into this book, and right off the bat, I was introduced to Hazel Davis. This girl, she’s the main character, and she’s kind of all over the place. She’s got a job that’s going nowhere, living in some city she can’t stand, and to top it off, she’s constantly in the shadow of her younger sister, Evie, who’s this big-time influencer. Classic sibling rivalry, right?
I kept reading, and the plot started to thicken. Hazel, she gets sucked into this whole influencer world, and it’s like watching a train wreck in slow motion. I was practically yelling at the pages, “Girl, what are you doing?” But you know how it is, you can’t stop turning the pages.
Then there’s this whole thing about child influencers, which, let me tell you, got me thinking. I mean, I see these kids on social media all the time, and this book really made me stop and consider the darker side of it. It’s actually kind of messed up when you think about it.
- The mystery around Evie: What happened to her?
- Hazel’s decisions: Why did she make those choices?
- The whole influencer culture: Is it really as glamorous as it seems?
As I got closer to the end, things got seriously intense. I was trying to figure out all the characters, like, who’s who and what’s their deal. It was a real slow burn, and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I was flipping pages like crazy, trying to piece everything together.
And then, bam, the ending hit me. And let me just say, it was phenomenal. But also, super unclear. Like, what just happened? Was Evie even alive? Did she run away? Or was she kidnapped by some creepy stalker? I finished the book, and I was just sitting there, staring into space, trying to make sense of it all.
I had so many questions. I mean, what’s real, and what’s just for show in this influencer world? And Hazel, what’s going to happen to her? It’s the kind of ending that sticks with you, you know? It left so much to my imagination, and honestly, I think that’s what I loved most about it.
So yeah, “Such a Bad Influence” is definitely not what I expected, but in the best way possible. It’s got me thinking about the whole influencer thing in a totally different light. And that ending? I’m probably going to be thinking about that for a long, long time.
