- “Black Robe” – Another suggestion, but this one seemed a bit slower paced and more, exploration-based, not really what I needed.

- “Wind River” A friend recommended this one. It’s got a little bit of the same vibe. A bit more modern, but with the same kind of intensity.
- “The Revenant” Oh man, THIS. This was the closest I got to that “Apocalypto” feeling. Brutal, beautiful, and all about one man’s insane will to live. Leonardo DiCaprio is incredible. Highly recommend!
- “Prey” The final one. It has the exact feeling that I need.
Wrapping Up
So, yeah, finding the perfect replacement for “Apocalypto” is tough, because it’s pretty unique. But “The Revenant” came the closest for me. It’s a different setting, but the core feeling is there. “Prey” also good. I’ll keep looking, though. The hunt for awesome movies never really ends, does it?
