Shark Tank Trunkster Update: Did the Deal Stick? Heres What We Know

Alright, so I saw this thing on Shark Tank called the Trunkster. Looked pretty cool, I gotta say. A suitcase with no zippers, a built-in scale, and even a USB charger? Seemed like a traveler’s dream. I decided to check it out for myself and see if it lived up to the hype.

First, I tried to find it online. Not as easy as I thought. Seems like they had some issues after the show. Eventually, I found some information. Apparently, the company didn’t deliver on all the orders. Kind of a bummer. I dug a little deeper and saw a lot of complaints about the quality and customer service. People were saying the bags broke easily and they couldn’t get refunds.

Then I learned that the original founders sold the company. The new owners tried to make things right, but it looks like they still struggled. I read some reviews from people who bought the newer versions of the Trunkster, and they weren’t much better.

So, I decided not to buy one myself. It’s a shame, really. It seemed like such a great idea. But based on what I found, it looks like the Trunkster was more of a Shark Tank fantasy than a real-world success.

My Takeaways

  • Don’t always believe the hype on TV.
  • Do your research before you buy anything, especially if it’s expensive.
  • Be wary of companies with a lot of negative reviews.
  • Sometimes, a great idea doesn’t translate into a great product.

It’s a tough lesson, but it’s an important one. I guess I’ll just stick with my old, reliable suitcase for now. It might not have all the bells and whistles, but at least I know it won’t fall apart on me.
