Okay, so, I’ve been seeing all this buzz about Mike Epps lately. Dude’s been around forever, you know? “Next Friday,” all that. But suddenly he’s like, everywhere again. I saw he had a show coming up in Tulsa, and I thought, “Why not?” I’m in Oklahoma, Tulsa’s not too far, might be a fun night out.
First thing I did was hit up the internet, of course. Googled “Mike Epps Tulsa” and started looking for tickets. Found a bunch of different sites selling them, some I’d heard of, some I hadn’t. Prices were all over the place, which was kind of annoying. But hey, that’s the game, right?
I checked out a couple of the ticket sites, looked at the seating charts, tried to figure out the best deal. Ended up going with one of the bigger sites because, you know, you want to make sure you actually get your tickets. I ain’t trying to get scammed. I compared prices, and it seemed legit.
Then, it was just about waiting for the day to roll around. Finally, the show was this past Friday. Got myself ready, drove out to Tulsa, found the venue. It was at 5982 S Yale Ave, easy enough to find with GPS.
The place was packed. I grabbed a drink, found my seat, and waited for the show to start. And, you know what? Mike Epps delivered. He was hilarious. Jokes were on point, crowd was loving it. It was a good mix of new stuff and some of his classic bits. He talked about everything, you know, life, family, current events.
He also had some openers, other comedians I didn’t know. It mentioned “Tulsa’s Bricktown Comedy Club,” so I assumed they were local. They were pretty good, too. Warmed up the crowd, got everyone laughing. It’s always cool to see new talent.
After the show, I was feeling good. Laughed a lot, had a good time. Drove back home, thinking it was definitely worth the trip. I saw some talk online about this being part of a bigger tour he’s doing, like, 51 cities or something. That’s crazy.
Anyway, if you’re thinking about seeing Mike Epps, I’d say go for it. Just do your homework on the tickets, you know? Make sure you’re getting a good deal, and you’re buying from a place you trust. But yeah, the show was great. Definitely a fun night out.
