Queen of Tears Ep 4 Recap: That Messy Marriage and All the Drama
Alright, so I watched this Queen of Tears thing, episode four, you know? Lord, these rich folks and their problems, let me tell ya. It’s all about this couple, Hyun-woo and Hae-in, and their marriage is messier than a pigsty after a rainstorm.
So, Hyun-woo, that fella, he’s stuck. He wants out of the marriage, see? He’s got plans, even got himself a lawyer and all. But then Hae-in, the wife, she drops a bomb – she’s sick, real sick. And now Hyun-woo, he’s all confused. He’s been plannin’ on leavin’ her, but now he’s gotta think twice, ya know? It ain’t right to just up and leave a sick woman, even if she is a handful.
- Hyun-woo wants a divorce, plain and simple.
- Hae-in’s got a scary sickness, nobody knows how long she’s got.
- Suddenly, Hyun-woo ain’t so sure about leaving anymore.
This whole episode is just Hyun-woo wrestling with himself. One minute he’s rememberin’ all the bad stuff, how Hae-in’s family treats him like dirt, how she’s always cold and distant. Then the next minute he sees her lookin’ all frail and vulnerable, and he feels bad. It’s like watchin’ a dog chase its tail, goes round and round and gets nowhere.
And the family, oh lord, the family! They’re a whole other story. Hae-in’s got this brother, thinks he’s hot stuff, always sneerin’ at Hyun-woo. And the mama, she’s a piece of work too, bossin’ everyone around. They don’t make it easy for Hyun-woo, that’s for sure. They treat him like he’s some kinda servant, not a son-in-law.
There’s this one part where Hyun-woo tries to be nice, tries to help Hae-in feel better. He buys her flowers, takes her on a little date. And for a minute, just a tiny minute, you think maybe things will work out. They almost look like a real couple, laughin’ and talkin’ like normal folks. But then, bam, something happens and it all goes back to bein’ awkward and tense.
The Real Problem is…
The thing is, nobody’s talkin’ to each other, not really. Hyun-woo’s keepin’ his divorce plans a secret, Hae-in’s hidin’ how scared she is about bein’ sick. And the family, well, they’re too busy bein’ rich and important to notice anything. It’s a whole lotta misunderstandin’s and hurt feelings piled up high like a stack of firewood.
And the flashbacks! This show loves flashbacks. We see bits and pieces of Hyun-woo and Hae-in’s past, how they fell in love, how things went wrong. It’s supposed to make us understand why they’re so messed up now, I guess. But honestly, it mostly just makes me think they were both kinda foolish from the start.
By the end of the episode, nothin’s really resolved. Hyun-woo’s still stuck, Hae-in’s still sick, and the family’s still a pain in the neck. It’s like watchin’ a pot boil, you know it’s gonna bubble over eventually, but you gotta wait and wait.
What I Think
I ain’t gonna lie, this episode was kinda frustrating. All this drama and nobody’s sayin’ what they really feel. But I guess that’s what makes it a soap opera, right? Gotta keep you hooked, gotta make you wanna watch the next one. And I gotta admit, I am kinda curious to see what happens next. Will Hyun-woo leave? Will Hae-in get better? Will that stuck-up brother finally get what’s comin’ to him? Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
One thing’s for sure, this marriage is a train wreck. And like any good train wreck, you can’t help but watch and see how it all unfolds. It ain’t pretty, but it sure is somethin’.
One last thing, this show is about more than just a messy marriage. It’s about family, about sickness, about what happens when people don’t talk to each other. And that, I reckon, is somethin’ we can all relate to, rich folks or not.
