Pending Train Reviews: Read This Before You Book

Hey everyone, I just wrapped up watching this Japanese drama called “Pending Train,” and I gotta share my experience with you all. I’m not gonna lie, I’m a sucker for these kinds of shows, especially when they involve some sci-fi elements, and this one definitely caught my attention.

So, the story starts with a regular morning in Tokyo. People are boarding a train, just like any other day. I found myself relating to these characters immediately, especially since I used to commute by train every day myself. But then, bam! Things go sideways. The train gets derailed by an earthquake when it is in a tunnel, and suddenly, these passengers are transported to some unknown place. It’s like they dropped off the face of the Earth. I was on the edge of my seat, wondering what the heck just happened.

There are a few main characters that really stood out to me. There’s this firefighter guy, Shirahama, and a hairdresser, Kayashima, played by Yamada Yuki. Both of these characters bring very different personalities to the table. Then you have a high school teacher that becomes an important role in this accident. Oh and also a random girl, Terasaki, she decides to patrol on her own after some crazy stuff goes down. The whole situation was kinda messed up, and it really tests the characters’ ability to work together and, you know, not lose their minds.

As the story unfolded, I started to piece together what was going on. It involves some time travel theories, and there’s this professor, Hasumi, who’s back in the present time, trying to figure out how this could have happened. I’m not gonna spoil anything, but let’s just say it gets pretty wild. The characters in the future, or wherever they are, have to deal with some serious challenges. It’s a fight for survival, and they have to rely on each other to make it through. It’s kind of predictable, but it’s still a fun ride.

I have to say, I got really attached to some of these characters. There are some really touching moments, and the acting is pretty good overall. There were times when I even teared up a bit, not gonna lie. It’s one of those shows that makes you think about life and what you would do in a similar situation.

But one thing that kinda bugged me was that it felt a little cheesy at times, but I guess that’s part of the charm of these kinds of dramas. Also, the show avoids any kind of swearing or nudity, which is kind of refreshing. It’s all about the story and the characters, and I appreciate that.

Overall, I enjoyed watching “Pending Train.” It’s a fun, suspenseful drama with some interesting sci-fi elements. If you’re looking for something to binge-watch, I’d say give it a shot. You might find yourself getting sucked into this crazy world just like I did.
