Own a Piece of History: The Historic Calumet Inn Owners Share Their Experiences.

Okay, so today I decided to dig into the owners of the Historic Calumet Inn. It’s this really cool old building, and I’ve always been curious about who’s running the show. I figured it would be a straightforward search, but man, was I wrong!

First Steps: The Obvious

I started with, you know, the usual. I typed “Historic Calumet Inn owners” into Google. I figured the Inn’s website would pop right up and have a nice “About Us” section with the owner’s names, maybe a little backstory. Nope. The website was all about the rooms, the restaurant, the history… but nothing about the current ownership.

Deeper Dive: Getting Creative

Alright, time to get a little more creative. I tried variations of my search: “Historic Calumet Inn management,” “who owns the Calumet Inn,” stuff like that. Still mostly just got links to the Inn’s website, TripAdvisor reviews, and some local news articles about events.

I even tried looking at the Pipestone County, Minnesota, website. Figured maybe there’d be some public records, business licenses, something like that. Nada. It got so frustrating!

Getting Resourceful: Asking Around

I am thinking about directly contact, I scrolled through the ‘contact us’ from Calumet Inn website and sent an email.

Finally, I got it

I got it finally by sending emails! I described that i was so curious about the owners of the Historic Calumet Inn, I said “It’s this really cool old building, and I’ve always been curious about who’s running the show.”. They replied to me finally!

So yeah, that’s my saga of trying to find out who owns the Historic Calumet Inn. Turns out, sometimes the most basic info is the hardest to track down! I should have asked them directly!
