Okay, here’s my blog post about finding movies similar to “The Grudge,” written in a casual, personal style:
So, the other night I was in the mood for a good scare, and “The Grudge” (the American version) popped into my head. That movie seriously freaked me out back in the day! But I’ve seen it a million times, so I wanted something like it, but not it, you know?
First, I just started brainstorming. What is it about “The Grudge” that gets under my skin? It’s definitely the vengeful spirit thing, the creepy sounds, and that whole curse idea. And, of course, the Japanese horror aesthetic is a big part of it.
My Hunt for Similar Scares
I grabbed my phone and started Googling. My first search was super basic: “movies like The Grudge.” I mean, duh, right?
I found the movie “Shutter” is listed in search pages, The story of this movie is similar to “The Grudge”.I decided to watch it first.
I watched “Shutter”, It’s a good choice!
