Okay, so, I’ve been on this action movie kick lately, right? And “The Equalizer” movies with Denzel Washington, man, those are just top-notch. I mean, who doesn’t love a good vigilante justice story? So, after re-watching “The Equalizer 2” for like the fifth time, I thought, “I need more movies like this in my life.”
So I did what anyone would do – I turned to the internet. I started by searching up movies similar to “The Equalizer 2.” I found that many people think “John Wick” is like it. I can see that, the action scenes are pretty good. But I want something more. Then, I found another movie named “Man on Fire.” It’s from 2004, but it seems like it will be great. Anyway, after that, I started browsing movie forums, checking out what other people who liked “The Equalizer” also enjoyed.
My Watchlist
- John Wick – I’ve heard so much about this one, especially the action sequences. Gotta see what the hype is all about.
- Man on Fire (2004) – This one came up a few times. It’s got Denzel too, so that’s a good sign.
I also found some interesting tidbits about “The Equalizer” series itself. Did you know the main guy, McCall, has OCPD? That’s Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder. They say he’s super neat because of it. And get this – they’re not just making “The Equalizer 3,” but also “The Equalizer 4” and even “The Equalizer 5”! Can you believe it? Denzel said he’s doing them, and people are hyped. I guess I’m not the only one who can’t get enough of these movies.
I also learned that for the third movie, Denzel got paid a whopping 20 million dollars! And Dakota Fanning is in it too. That’s a pretty cool addition. They started talking about the third movie back in early 2022, so it’s been in the works for a while.
Anyway, I’m excited to dive into these recommendations. I’ll probably start with “John Wick” since it’s so popular and then “Man on Fire”. I might even look for more similar movies on Netflix, iTunes, or Amazon. If I find any other gems, I’ll definitely share them. But for now, that’s my plan for satisfying my action movie craving!
