Okay, so the other day I was thinking, I really enjoyed “Star Trek Into Darkness.” What else is out there that’s kind of like it? So I started digging around.
First, I looked up movies that were released around the same time, you know, to get a feel for what was popular back then. I stumbled upon “The Fifth Element” from 1997. It’s a bit older, but it’s got that sci-fi action vibe that I was looking for. I added that to my list to check out later.
Then I thought, “Why not look at other Star Trek movies?” So, I found “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.” People say it’s one of the best, and it seems to have a similar storyline with the Enterprise crew. I wrote that one down, too.
Next, I searched for lists of movies similar to “Star Trek Into Darkness” and found that there are apparently 72 films similar to it! That’s a lot, I do not have time to check each one! So, I filtered the list and picked only 3 movies.
After that, I decided to broaden my search a little. I came across “The Orville.” It’s a TV show, not a movie, but it’s set in the future, and it’s about a spaceship crew on a mission. Sounds pretty close, right? So, I added that to my list as well.
Finally, I used some of those movie sites, like Netflix and Amazon, to see what they recommended. They have those “If you liked this, you might like that” sections, which are pretty handy. I found a few more movies that way. Noted it all down.
So, after all that searching and digging, I ended up with a pretty decent list of movies and shows to watch if you’re a fan of “Star Trek Into Darkness.”

What I Realized
