Okay, so I was on a mission today. My kid wanted to watch something like “Spies in Disguise” – you know, that animated flick where Will Smith turns into a pigeon. Hilarious, right? But we’ve seen it, like, a million times. So, I needed to find some alternatives.
First, I hit up my go-to streaming services. You know the drill, scrolling through endless rows of thumbnails. I typed in “spy movies” and “animated adventures,” but mostly got stuff we’d already watched or things that looked…well, boring.

Then, I thought, “Okay, let’s get specific.” What did we actually like about “Spies in Disguise”? It was funny, action-packed, and had that whole secret agent vibe, but with animals. So, I started searching for things like “funny spy movies for kids” and “animated movies with animal spies.”
I jumped on some forums and parent blogs where people share recommendations. Bingo! I started seeing some recurring titles.

It wasn’t a perfect system. Honestly, I wasted a good chunk of time clicking on trailers and reading reviews only to find out the movie was too scary, or too babyish, or just plain not what we were looking for.
