Okay, so I wanted to find some movies similar to “We’re the Millers” because, let’s be real, that movie is hilarious. I needed more of that goofy, slightly-inappropriate humor in my life.
The Search Begins
I started by, you guessed it, firing up Google. I just typed in “movies like We’re the Millers” and hoped for the best. I mean, that’s usually a solid starting point, right?
Sifting Through Results
The first page was, predictably, a bunch of list articles. Titles like “10 Movies to Watch if You Liked We’re the Millers,” “Comedies Like We’re The Millers That Will Make You Cry From Laughter”. You know, the usual clickbait-y stuff. I skimmed through a few of them, and a couple of titles started popping up repeatedly.
Compiling My List
I decided to make my own little list, jotting down the movies that seemed the most promising. I mainly looked for ones that had that same kind of road trip/fake family/criminal element vibe going on. Here’s what I ended up with:
- Vacation (2015): Seemed like an obvious choice – a family road trip gone horribly, hilariously wrong.
- The Heat: I love the chemistry.
- 21 Jump Street: Undercover cops pretending to be high school students? Always comedic, in my mind.
- Game Night: Not a road trip and a more dark theme.
- Identity Thief: Another road trip, this time with Jason Bateman, so I was pretty much sold.
Time to Watch!
So yeah, that’s my process. Super scientific, I know. But it got the job done! Now I’ve got a bunch of movies lined up for my next few movie nights. I started with Identity Theif, and I’m enjoying it. Let’s see how the rest go!
