Okay, so I’ve been on this kick lately, trying to find more movies that give me that same vibe as “Detective Pikachu.” You know, that fun, slightly quirky, mystery-adventure feel with creatures? Yeah, it’s a specific itch, but I’ve been digging!
Started Simple: Googling Around
First thing I did, obviously, was hit up Google. I typed in stuff like “movies similar to Detective Pikachu,” “family-friendly mystery movies with creatures,” and “live-action movies with CGI animals.” You know, the usual. This gave me a bunch of lists, some obvious, some…not so much.
Filtering Through the Noise
The problem with these lists is that a lot of them just threw in any movie with animals. I’m not looking for “Babe” or “Dr. Dolittle.” I wanted that mystery element, that slight edge, you know?
So, I started making my own list, pulling titles from those Google results, and then doing a bit more research on each one. Checking trailers, reading some reviews (without spoilers, of course!), and seeing if they fit the bill.
Diving Deeper into Specific Movies
- “Who Framed Roger Rabbit”:I had to start here. Classic live action mixed with animation.
- I remember seeing the trailer and a big part of the plot.
Then, read some of the reviews, I will definetly take a look at the whole film some day.
My Current Watchlist
This is not the whole list, I have a lot more films to go through. But, I will start from “Who Framed Roger Rabbit”.
It’s a process, for sure! Finding that perfect blend of elements isn’t easy, but I’m enjoying the hunt. I’ll keep updating as I find more, because I know I’m not the only one who loved that “Detective Pikachu” feel!
