Okay, so, today I was in the mood for some good ol’ zombie action, and naturally, my mind went straight to “Dawn of the Dead.” I mean, it’s a classic, right? But then I thought, “Hey, I’ve seen this one a million times. What else is out there that’s similar?” So, I started digging around.
First, I hit up the usual spots like Netflix, Amazon, and iTunes, you know, just to see what was popular in the zombie genre right now. I stumbled upon this movie called “Alone” about a guy trapped in his apartment during a zombie outbreak. Sounds familiar, huh? I added it to my list.

Then, I remembered that the guy who made “Dawn of the Dead,” George A. Romero, made a bunch of other “Dead” movies. So, I looked those up. Turns out there’s “Night of the Living Dead,” which is like the granddaddy of them all, and a few others. I jotted those down too, even though I’ve seen some of them before.

After that, I decided to get a little more adventurous. I found this list of zombie movies ranked by how likely you are to survive in them. Pretty cool idea, right? It had everything from comedies to the serious stuff. I picked out a few that sounded interesting, like “Zombieland” cause that was comedy.

Then there’s this other movie called “Return of the Living Dead,” which apparently is where zombies started craving brains. Who knew? And it’s supposed to be like a punk rock version of Romero’s movies. Definitely adding that to the list. It sounds wild.

I also found out about this movie called “Peninsula,” which is a sequel to “Train to Busan.” I loved “Train to Busan,” so this one’s a no-brainer. It’s about a soldier going back to Korea after the zombie virus has taken over. Sounds intense.

So yeah, that’s where I’m at now. I’ve got a pretty solid list of zombie flicks to check out that are kind of like “Dawn of the Dead” but also their own thing. I’m pretty stoked to dive into these and see what they’re all about. I’ll probably start with “Alone” since it’s right there on Netflix. Wish me luck, hope I don’t get too spooked!
