Okay, so I’ve been on this HUGE Marie Antoinette kick lately. You know, the Sofia Coppola movie? The fashion, the music, the whole vibe… I just can’t get enough. So, naturally, I wanted MORE. I needed to find other movies that gave me that same feeling.
First, I brainstormed. What was it about Marie Antoinette that I loved so much? I made a quick list:
- Beautiful costumes
- A strong female lead (even if she’s a bit… flawed)
- A historical setting, but with a modern twist
- Killer soundtrack
- That feeling of being young, maybe a little reckless, and in over your head
Then I use a search engine, typing in “movies like Marie Antoinette”. It came up with a TON of suggestions. Some I’d seen, some I hadn’t, and some I’d never even heard of. It gave some popular one.
Digging Deeper
Then, after getting a big list of recommendations, I start to go a little deeper. I watch trailers on several movies, and read a few reviews to see which ones best match my list.
I am very exciting about this. I think I have found some similiar movies.
