Monarch Episode 10 Review: Finale Surprises and Kongs Return

Monarch Episode 10 Review: Finale Surprises and Kongs Return

Alright, listen up, y’all. Let me tell ya ’bout this “Monarch” show, episode ten, ya hear? It’s a real humdinger, this one. So, this gal Cate, she’s been goin’ through it, fightin’ monsters and all that jazz. And wouldn’t ya know it, her grandma, Keiko, shows up outta nowhere. Now, Keiko, she ain’t surprised by nothin’, it seems. Calm as a cucumber, she is. Asks about some fellas, Bill Randa and Shaw, like she expected ’em to be there.

Cate and Grandma Reunion, that’s what I’d call it. Cate’s jaw dropped, bless her heart. She couldn’t believe she was lookin’ at her own grandma, after all this mess. Keiko, she saved Cate from a giant monster, a Titan they call it. Big ol’ thing, like somethin’ outta a nightmare. But Keiko, she handled it like a pro, didn’t even break a sweat, I reckon.

Then there’s this Shaw fella. He’s been helpin’ Cate and all. He thanked Keiko for everything, real polite-like. Sent Keiko, May, and Cate back home. Now, he stayed behind, coulda died and all. But they never showed his body, so maybe, just maybe, he’s still kickin’ around down there in that Axis Mundi place. Who knows, these city folks are hard to figure out.

Monarch Episode 10 Review: Finale Surprises and Kongs Return
  • Lots of Action: This whole show’s got more action than a barn dance on a Saturday night. Explosions, monsters roarin’, folks runnin’ around. Keeps ya on the edge of yer seat, that’s for sure.
  • Family Drama: It ain’t just about monsters, mind ya. It’s about family too. Cate findin’ her grandma, learnin’ ’bout her past. It’s heartwarming, in a way, even with all the monster mayhem.
  • A Big Kong: And then, bam! Two years later, they show Kong! Yep, that big ol’ ape himself. Now, that was a surprise, let me tell ya. Made me spill my sweet tea, it did.

So, the show, it kinda jumps ahead two years. Things are different now. But they got that big ol’ Kong showin’ up at the end. That was somethin’ else, I tell ya. Made the whole thing worth watchin’, even if I didn’t understand half of it. All that talk about Titans and Monarch and whatnot. It’s a lot for an old lady like me to take in.

Now, they sayin’ this is the end, at least for this season. But they also talkin’ ’bout another season, and even some spin-offs. Well, I’ll be. Guess these monsters ain’t goin’ away anytime soon. And that Cate girl, she’s gonna have her hands full, I reckon. Hope she gets some rest, poor thing. She deserves it, after all that runnin’ around.

Final Thoughts, huh? Well, it was loud, it was flashy, and it had that big monkey at the end. I liked the grandma, she seemed like a tough old bird. Reminded me a bit of myself, back in the day. And that Cate, she’s got grit, I’ll give her that. So, yeah, I guess I’d recommend it, if you like that kinda thing. Just don’t expect it to make much sense. It’s a monster show, after all. They ain’t supposed to make sense, are they?

And that Shaw fella, he better be alright. He seemed like a decent sort. Always lookin’ out for Cate. Hope he didn’t get eaten by one of them Titans. That’d be a shame. He deserved a happy endin’, that one did. Maybe he’ll show up in the next season, if there is one. We’ll just have to wait and see, I guess. Patience is a virtue, they say. Though I ain’t got much of it left at my age, let me tell ya.

So, there ya have it. My take on this “Monarch” show, episode ten. It ain’t Shakespeare, that’s for sure. But it’s got monsters, and family, and a big ol’ ape. What more could ya ask for? Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make myself another cup of tea. All this talkin’ about monsters has got me all worked up.
