Well, let me tell ya ’bout this show, “Master of the House”. It’s a real head-scratcher, this one. This Roongroj fella, big shot clan leader, he goes and marries his maid, Kaimook. Can you believe that? Right outta the blue! His family, they ain’t happy ’bout it, not one bit. But what can they do? The old man’s made up his mind.
But then, bam! Roongroj kicks the bucket, right there in his big mansion. And wouldn’t ya know it, folks start pointin’ fingers at them maids and servants. Treatin’ ’em like dirt, they did. Always a scapegoat for the rich folks, ain’t it?
Now, this Kaimook, she ain’t no fool. She’s on a mission, see? Tryna figure out who killed her new husband. And lemme tell ya, it gets twisty and turny like a snake in the grass. Folks are sayin’ she planned the whole thing with some other servants, makin’ it look like Roongroj’s sons, Phupat and Mavin, did the deed.
- First, she had to sweet-talk Roongroj into marryin’ her. Smart cookie, that one.
- Then, with them sons snoopin’ around, tryin’ to get their hands on the old man’s fortune, it was the perfect setup.
They call the first episode “The Last Supper,” which is kinda spooky, thinkin’ ’bout it now. And the last one? “Master of the House.” But here’s the kicker – at the very end, Kaimook’s back in her servant uniform. What does it all mean? I ain’t quite sure, but it makes ya think, don’t it?
One episode, they called it “Rebellion.” Folks were gettin’ fed up, I guess. And another one, “Death End.” Real cheery stuff, ain’t it? Seems like there was a flashback about this fella named Shutter, drivin’ drunk and killin’ someone. Don’t drink and drive, kids, that’s what I always say.
This whole thing is about Roongroj’s two sons, Phupat and Mavin, and how far they’d go to get their daddy’s company. Money makes people do crazy things, I tell ya. Greed, it’s a poison. And there was this episode, “The Offer.” Phupat, he confronts Kaimook, and somethin’ real bad happens to her. Don’t wanna talk about it, it ain’t right.
This one episode, number seven, it was rough. Something happened to Kaimook, somethin’ awful. Men, they can be real monsters sometimes. I ain’t gonna spell it out, but it was bad. Just real bad.
So, this whole show, it’s about secrets and lies and people doin’ each other wrong. Rich folks with their problems, servants caught in the middle. Makes ya wonder who’s really the master of the house in the end, don’t it? Money don’t buy happiness, that’s for sure. And power, well, it just corrupts. Just like the worms in the apple, it eats ya from the inside out.
It’s a Thai show, on Netflix. Never watched one of them before, but this one, it kept me guessin’ till the very end. If you like mysteries and dramas, you might like this one. But be warned, it ain’t all sunshine and roses. There’s some dark stuff in there, real dark. But that’s life, ain’t it? Ups and downs, good and bad, all mixed up together like a stew.
And in the end, even though I’m just an old woman who ain’t seen much of the world, this show made me think. Made me think about how people treat each other, about what’s right and wrong, and about how sometimes, the folks you least expect are the ones with all the power. So, if you got some time on your hands and you want somethin’ to get your brain workin’, give “Master of the House” a watch. Just don’t blame me if it keeps you up at night.
