Well, let me tell ya, this ‘Lucy’s Tale’ thing, it’s somethin’ else. I watched it, and Lord, it got me thinkin’. This here girl, Lucy, she’s just tryin’ to fit in, ya know? Like all them young’uns do in that there high school.
The Beginning, All Messed Up
So, it starts off with Lucy and her best friend, right? But then, this friend, she goes off with the ‘cool kids.’ Leaves Lucy all by herself. Can you believe that? Kids these days, they ain’t got no loyalty. Reminds me of that time old Bessie left me for that fancy-pants farmer down the road. Hmph!
- Lucy gets dumped by her best friend.
- The friend goes off with the ‘popular’ crowd.
- Lucy is left feelin’ all alone and miserable.
And lemme tell ya, this high school, it’s a jungle. Full of mean girls, just like them crows peckin’ at my cornfield. They’re always gossiping and snickerin’, makin’ Lucy’s life a livin’ hell. It’s enough to make your blood boil, I tell ya.
Lucy Gets Strong, Real Strong
But Lucy, she ain’t no pushover. She starts fightin’ back, in her own way. She starts gettin’ stronger, and not just on the outside. It’s like somethin’ inside her is growin’, gettin’ bigger and bigger. It’s kinda like when my prize-winning pumpkin grew so big it busted through the fence! Except this ain’t no pumpkin, it’s somethin’ more.
Now, here’s where it gets real weird. They say Lucy gets to 100%, somethin’ like that. And then, boom! She’s everywhere, like she can do anything. Some folks are sayin’ she’s like God or somethin’. Can you imagine? A high school girl turnin’ into God? That’s just crazy talk, but then again, I’ve seen stranger things. Like that time the two-headed calf was born over at the Johnson farm.
Is Lucy God? Maybe, Maybe Not
Now, I ain’t no preacher or nothin’, but the way I see it, this 100% thing, it means Lucy finally figured out who she is. She ain’t lettin’ them mean girls get to her no more. She’s strong, she’s confident, and she’s in control. Maybe that’s what bein’ God is all about, I dunno. It’s like when I finally learned how to drive that ol’ tractor, felt like I could conquer the whole world!
But then again, maybe it ain’t that deep. Maybe it’s just a story, somethin’ to make you think. Like them fairy tales my grandma used to tell me. But even if it’s just a story, it’s got a good message. It tells ya that even when things get tough, you gotta keep fightin’. You gotta find that strength inside yourself, and you gotta let it shine. Don’t let them crows peck at your cornfield, you hear?
What it All Means, I Reckon
So, the endin’, huh? Well, I figure it’s about Lucy findin’ her power. It ain’t about magic or nothin’, it’s about believin’ in yourself. It’s about standin’ up to them bullies and bein’ your own person. And that’s a good message for any young’un, I reckon. It reminds me of the time I had to chase that mangy dog off my porch, had to show him who was boss! And that’s what Lucy did too.
This whole movie, it’s a story about growin’ up, about findin’ your place in this crazy world. And Lucy, she found her place alright. She found it by bein’ strong, by bein’ true to herself, and by not lettin’ nobody push her around. And that’s somethin’ we can all learn from, ain’t it? It’s like my grandma always said, “Hold your head high, and don’t let ’em see you sweat.”
So, that’s my take on ‘Lucy’s Tale.’ It’s a bit strange, but it’s got a good heart. And that’s more than you can say for most things these days. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my chickens. Them foxes been gettin’ too close for comfort lately.
