Well, let me tell you, I seen a whole bunch of movies in my time. And this one, “Murder by Numbers,” that’s a real head-scratcher. Got me thinkin’ about other movies, kinda like it. You know, the ones that keep you guessin’ till the cows come home. These movies like murder by numbers are something else, I tell ya.
So, I got to thinkin’, what other movies got that same kinda feel? That “who done it” kinda thing. That murder mystery. They make a good movie, I always say. Keep your brain workin’.
First one that popped into my head, well, it ain’t exactly the same, but it’s got that mystery to it. It’s about this police guy, and his wife. They go on a trip, end up in the middle of some big murder thing. Lots of funny stuff in it, too. Keeps you guessin’ who the bad guy is. It’s a good one for a laugh and a good mystery, like those mystery movies they used to show at the picture house.

- Lots of twisty-turny stuff.
- You won’t figure it out till the end, I betcha.
Then there’s another one, older one. Bunch of folks stuck in a big house. Someone gets killed, and they all gotta figure out who did it. It’s a real nail-biter, I tell ya! Kinda like that one, “Murder by Numbers.” It was a big deal back in the day. They called it a cult classic, I believe they said. This one is for folks who like them old-timey mysteries, that is one of the best mystery movies for sure.
These new movies, they got all them fancy effects and what not. But sometimes, the old ones, they’re just as good. Maybe even better. They don’t need all that fancy stuff to tell a good story. Just good actin’ and a good story. That’s all you need. Like a good stew, simple ingredients, but it hits the spot. Just like them old movies like murder by numbers.
Nowadays, they got all these ways to watch movies. Back in my day, you had to go down to the picture house. Now, you can watch ’em right in your own home. And they got so many of ’em. It’s hard to pick just one. They say you can find any movie you want. Even ones like “Murder by Numbers.” They got lists and lists of ’em. It is the best mystery movie to find on there. They even put them on this thing they call Rotten Tomatoes. Don’t ask me why, it doesn’t sound good to me.
So, I went lookin’ for these movies like “Murder by Numbers.” Found a whole bunch of ’em. Some about these fellas who, well, they ain’t right in the head. They go around doin’ bad things. And the police, they gotta catch ’em. Those ones are kinda scary, but they keep you watchin’.
- One about a guy who forgets things.
- Another one about a fella who talks to dead people.
- And one about these cops trying to catch a real bad guy. Lots of numbers in that one.
You know, they don’t make ’em like they used to. But these movies like murder by numbers, they still got that same kinda feel. That mystery, that suspense. You get those good crime thriller films that keep you up all night. Makes you think about things. Makes you wonder who you can trust. These days, you gotta be careful. Lots of bad folks out there. Just like in the movies.
This one movie, it’s about this island. And this fella, he’s a cop, I think. He goes there to find someone. But things ain’t what they seem. It’s a real spooky one. Makes you jump outta your seat. But I ain’t sayin’ it is the best mystery movie. That’s for you to decide.
And then there’s this other one. These two guys, they’re magicians. They’re always tryin’ to outdo each other. Lots of tricks and secrets. It’s a real puzzle, that one. Like that murder mystery thing, but not really a murder. More about trying to figure out the tricks. Just like “Murder by Numbers,” but different, you know?
I reckon there’s a movie out there for everyone. If you like them mystery ones, like “Murder by Numbers,” you’ll find plenty more. Just gotta know where to look. You can look at Rotten Tomatoes. That will tell you what folks think, I guess. I’m just sayin’, there’s a whole heap of ’em out there. So many movies like murder by numbers. Just waitin’ to be watched. So get yourself some popcorn, and settle in. It’s gonna be a long night. Maybe even watch one of them crime thriller films. You won’t be sleepin’ much, I guarantee ya. They keep you guessin’ and guessin’ till the very end. Just like a good ol’ fashioned yarn. And that’s all I got to say about that.
