Okay, so today I wanted to share a little project I’ve been messing around with. It all started because I was in the mood for a light, fun movie night, you know? I’d watched “Confessions of a Shopaholic” a while back, and it just hit the spot. So, I thought, why not find more movies like that?
First, I jumped onto Google, just to see what would pop up. I typed in “movies similar to Confessions of a Shopaholic” and boom, a ton of results! It was kind of overwhelming, honestly. But I started digging through the lists and articles, jotting down some titles that sounded interesting.
Then I got a little more organized. I made a list of the movies that kept coming up: “The Devil Wears Prada,” “27 Dresses,” “Bride Wars,” that kind of thing. You know, those feel-good, romantic comedies with a little bit of fashion or shopping thrown in. They’re like comfort food for the soul, right?
I also read a few reviews and summaries, just to get a feel for what each movie was about. For example, I found out that “The Devil Wears Prada” is about a young woman who lands a job at a fashion magazine, and it stars Anne Hathaway. I’ve always liked her, so that one went straight to the top of my list.
- Bride Wars (2009)
- 27 Dresses (2008)
- The Devil Wears Prada (2006)
After that, I started looking up where I could actually watch these movies. You know, sometimes it’s tricky because they’re not always on the streaming services you have. It took a little bit of searching, but I finally managed to track them all down.
I even found this movie called “Based on the Diary of a Working Girl” starring Hilary Duff. I used to love her back in the day, so I was excited to see that one. It’s apparently an American rom-com, directed by someone named Gil Junger, that I’d never heard of before.
Also I read something about Isla Fisher, the actress from “Confessions of a Shopaholic.” Turns out she’s been in other movies I like, such as “Wedding Crashers” and “The Great Gatsby.” Maybe I should check out some of her other work too!
In the end, I ended up with a pretty solid list of movies to watch. I’m thinking I’ll start with “The Devil Wears Prada” and then maybe “27 Dresses.” It’s going to be a fun, relaxing movie marathon, for sure!
There are about 75 movies on my list! I think that will be enough, I don’t know when I can finish all of them!
Honestly, this whole thing was a fun little adventure. It just goes to show that a simple search can lead you down all sorts of interesting paths. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a movie date with Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep!
