Alright, so the other day I was trying to find something to watch, and I got this idea stuck in my head that I wanted something like “White Chicks.” You know, that hilarious movie with the Wayans brothers? I really love that movie. So, I started digging around to find movies that give off the same vibe.
First, I opened up my trusty web browser and typed in “movies similar to White Chicks.” You know, the usual stuff. I got a bunch of random websites and some movie lists and stuff. I clicked on a few of them, but nothing really caught my eye. They were listing all sorts of movies, some were comedies, some were just… I don’t even know.
Then I remembered this website, Letterboxd, I think it’s called? It’s like a social network for movie nerds, I guess. I don’t use it much, but I thought I’d give it a shot. I searched for “White Chicks” on there and found a section that said something like “similar films.” Bingo! There were like 74 movies listed there. 74! That’s a lot. I started scrolling through them, looking at the posters and reading the little descriptions.

I found “Scary Movie” there, too. That’s also by the Wayans brothers, so it made sense that it would be similar. I ended up watching a bunch of trailers and reading some reviews.
After that, I went to a different site, and it had a list of about 24 movies, all claiming to be like “White Chicks”. There were some interesting ones. I saw some other titles I recognized, like “Click” and “Mean Girls.” That seemed like a stretch to me. I love “Mean Girls” but it’s not really the same thing at all.
I spent a good chunk of time just going through all these suggestions, jumping from one site to another. It was a bit of a mess, to be honest. Eventually, I created a list of movies that seemed promising, mostly comedies with a similar kind of humor or maybe a similar plot, like people in disguise or something.
My final “watch later” list included:
- Scary Movie– I mean, it’s the Wayans brothers again, so that’s a no-brainer.
I’ve got a bunch more on there, but I’ll have to go through them later.
Anyway, that’s how I spent my afternoon, looking for movies like “White Chicks.” It was a bit of a wild goose chase, but I think I found some good stuff to check out later. Hope this list helps someone else, too!
