Okay, so the other day I was thinking about movies, right? And not just any movies, but those old-school jungle flicks from the 70s and 80s. You know, the ones with cannibals and all that crazy stuff. I was really into “Cannibal Holocaust,” “Cannibal Ferox,” “Eaten Alive!,” and “Mountain of the Cannibal God.” Those movies just have this unique vibe that I can’t get enough of.
So, I started digging around to find more movies like “Cannibal Holocaust.” I mean, it’s such a wild and controversial film, and it’s one of the first found-footage horror movies ever made. I figured there had to be more out there with that same raw, intense feel.
First thing I did was to make a list of movies I have watched. Here they are:

- Man from Deep River (1972)
- Mountain of the Cannibal God (1978)
- Emanuelle and the Last Cannibals (1977)
But I wanted more! Then I kept searching for more movies with a similar vibe. I read some other people’s opinions and they recommended some movies like “The Hills Have Eyes” and “Trouble Every Day”.
I made my final list and prepared to watch them. Now my full list has these movies:
- Man from Deep River (1972)
- Mountain of the Cannibal God (1978)
- Emmanuelle and the Last Cannibals (1977)
- The Hills Have Eyes
- Trouble Every Day
So, yeah, that’s what I’ve been up to. Trying to find more of those crazy cannibal movies from back in the day. It’s been a wild ride, and I’m excited to see what other hidden gems I can uncover. If you have any recommendations, hit me up!
