Alright, alright, lemme tell ya ‘bout this Lioness show, episode two, ya know? It’s kinda like them soap operas my grandkid watches, but with more shootin’ and less cryin’, though there’s some cryin’ too.
So, this Joe gal, she’s tough as nails, I tell ya. Reminds me of old Martha down the road, the one who chased a raccoon outta her chicken coop with a broom. Anyways, Joe, she’s back with her team. That Bobby fella, and Kyle and Cody, those young’uns. They got a job to do, somethin’ important, but first, she goes home.
Now, home ain’t always sunshine and roses, ya hear? She sees this little girl, Charlie, I think her name was. Kids these days, always lookin’ at them screens. Don’t know how to play in the dirt no more. But Joe, she ain’t got time for that, she’s got bigger fish to fry.
- First thing, that congresswoman, Hernandez, somethin’ happened to her. Bad stuff. They took her from her house, killed her husband and kid. Lord have mercy! Folks these days, just no respect for life. Makes my blood boil, I tell ya.
- Then there’s this Cruz girl and Josie. They gettin’ all buddy-buddy, which is kinda strange considerin’ all the mess goin’ on. Reminds me of them cats fightin’ one minute, then lickin’ each other the next. Can’t never figure ’em out.
They talkin’ ’bout China and Taiwan, somethin’ ’bout invadin’. Sounds like a whole lotta trouble to me. Why can’t folks just sit down and have a nice cup of coffee? Always gotta be fightin’ ’bout somethin’. Makes this old lady tired just thinkin’ about it.
This whole show, it’s about this Lioness team Joe’s in. They got this new girl too, Carrillo. Seems alright, but ya never know with these young folks. They always got somethin’ up their sleeves. But the plan, whatever it was, it ain’t goin’ so well. Nothin’ ever does, does it? You plan for a picnic, and it ends up rainin’. That’s just life, I guess.
Joe, she’s tryin’ to make things right, but it’s like tryin’ to herd cats, ya know? Everybody’s goin’ every which way. And this China business, that’s a whole ‘nother can of worms. I don’t understand all that politics stuff. Just sounds like a bunch of rich folks fightin’ over who gets to boss the rest of us around.
They got this whole thing with Cruz comin’ back in episode four, bondin’ with Josie. Five hundred children, they said. Lord have mercy, that’s a lot of mouths to feed. Makes me think of my own kids, all grown up now, but still a handful, I tell ya. Kids are always a handful, no matter how old they get.
This episode, it’s kinda like a puzzle, ya know? All these pieces, and you gotta put ’em together. But some of the pieces are missin’, and some of ’em don’t fit. And just when you think you got it figured out, somethin’ else happens, and you gotta start all over again. That’s what makes it interestin’, I guess. Keeps ya on your toes.
So, that’s the gist of it, ya know? Joe and her team, they got a tough job to do. Lots of danger, lots of twists and turns. And in the middle of it all, there’s this little girl, Charlie, and this bondin’ between Cruz and Josie. It’s a whole lotta drama, I tell ya. But that’s what makes it good, right? Keeps ya comin’ back for more.
I tell ya, these shows these days, they got more goin’ on than a hen house in a thunderstorm. But this Lioness one, it’s alright. It’s got a good strong woman leadin’ the charge, and that’s somethin’ I can get behind. Reminds me of myself, back in the day, always had to be the strong one. But that’s another story for another time.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make myself a cup of tea. All this talkin’s made my throat dry. And maybe I’ll watch another episode, see what happens next. Just don’t tell my grandkid I said I liked this show, she’ll never let me live it down.
