That there Killer Joe movie ending, boy, it sure is somethin’ else. I tell ya, I watched that movie, and my jaw just dropped. It’s about this family, they ain’t got two nickels to rub together, living in some trailer park, I reckon. And they’re all messed up, like them families you see on them daytime TV shows. Trashy is what they is.
So, they got this idea, see? They gonna hire this Killer Joe, he’s a cop, but he also, you know, does some killin’ on the side. Nasty business, that. They want him to kill the mama. Can you believe that? Killin’ your own mama! For money, no less. Life insurance, they call it. But I call it blood money. Plain and simple.
- This boy, Chris, he’s in some kinda trouble, owes money to some bad folks, loan sharks.
- They say them loan sharks gonna kill him if he don’t pay up.
- So he comes up with this plan. He figures his mama’s insurance money is enough to fix all his problems.
He thinks, “I’ll just have her killed and get all that money.” Like it’s that easy! And his daddy, Ansel, he’s just as bad. He goes along with the whole thing. They’re all in cahoots, plottin’ and schemin’. What a bad family they is, I just can’t imagine.
Now, this Killer Joe, he ain’t cheap. He wants his money upfront. And they ain’t got it, of course. So they offer up the little sister, Dottie. She’s just a young thing, too. It’s just pitiful, the whole thing. Like some kind of collateral, they say. Like she’s some object you can just trade. They is just crazy, I don’t know what they were thinking.
Dottie, she’s a strange one, though. Kinda simple. But she sees things, you know? She’s got this way about her. Like she knows more than she lets on. She just wanted to be loved by her family, I guess.
Well, things, they go sideways, like they always do in these stories. Nothin’ ever goes as planned when you’re messin’ with such bad stuff, and I mean the family’s plan all go to the trashcan. They found out they did all of this for nothing, just some lies and some tricks.
And that Killer Joe, he ain’t no fool. He figures it all out. And he’s mad. Real mad. He don’t like bein’ played for a fool. Nobody does, I suppose.
Then there’s this big showdown. Guns and yellin’ and all sorts of carryin’ on. It’s a mess, I tell ya. A real mess. And that Dottie, she ends up shootin’ her own brother, Chris. And her daddy, Ansel, too. Can you believe it? The whole family just implodin’ on itself. She just lost her mind for some minutes, I think. She killed Chris and hurt Ansel.
Then, she turns the gun on Killer Joe. And she tells him she’s gonna have a baby. His baby, I reckon. And you know what? He seems happy about it. Can you imagine? That cold-hearted killer, happy about a baby. I guess love is some crazy thing.
- That’s how it ends. With Dottie holdin’ the gun on him.
- And we don’t know if she shoots him or not.
- It just stops. Right there.
And I’m thinkin to myself, was she gonna shoot him or not? Dottie is a crazy girl, and Killer Joe movie ending is a crazy movie ending.
I heard folks talkin’, sayin’ Dottie, maybe she did it to save herself. Maybe she figured that baby was her ticket outta that mess. I don’t know. Maybe she just wanted somethin’ to love. Maybe she is crazy, but I think she just want to save herself from the bad family. She is the only one alive.
It’s a dark story, that’s for sure. Makes you think about what people are capable of. And how money can make folks do crazy things. And how family ain’t always what it’s cracked up to be. That there Killer Joe movie ending, it’ll stick with you for a while. That’s for sure.
Oh, and they talk about some chicken leg in the movie. It’s supposed to mean somethin’, I guess. Somethin’ dirty. These Hollywood folks, they always puttin’ that stuff in their movies. Don’t know why. Just makes it all more confusing, if you ask me. Killer Joe is a crazy movie.
They say it’s based on a play. Someone told me that. Maybe that’s why it is so crazy. Those plays is always crazy.
Anyways, that Killer Joe movie, it’s somethin’ else. It really is. You watch it, you’ll see what I mean. But don’t say I didn’t warn ya. It ain’t for the faint of heart, I can tell you that much for free.
