Jica Foods After Shark Tank: What Happened & Where to Buy?

Okay, so I saw Jica Foods on Shark Tank, and I was like, “I gotta try that!” I’m always looking for healthy snacks, and jicama seemed pretty interesting. So, here’s how my whole Jica Foods adventure went down.

The Hunt Begins

First, I tried to find these things. It wasn’t super easy! I checked a few of my regular grocery stores, but no luck. I guess they’re not everywhere yet.

Online to the Rescue

I ended up ordering them online, straight from their website. I figured that was the easiest way to get my hands on them. They had a few different flavors, which was cool.

  • Original I am a plain Jane sometimes.
  • Chili Lime This sounded right up my alley!
  • Street Taco A little diffrent and try new things.

I decide ordered all of the goods, so that I can try it all.

Taste Test Time!

When they finally arrived, I ripped open the box like a kid on Christmas. I went straight for the Chili Lime, because, duh. And you know what? They were pretty good!

They’re crunchy, a little bit sweet, and that chili lime flavor was definitely there. It wasn’t, like, overwhelmingly spicy, which is good for me because I’m a bit of a wimp when it comes to heat. My children loved the original because it can satisfy them just like potato chips.

Experimenting in the Kitchen

After snacking on them straight from the bag, I decided to get a little creative. I threw some of the jicama sticks into a salad, and it added a nice crunch. I even tried dipping them in some hummus, which was also a winner. I think they’d be awesome in a stir-fry, too, but I haven’t tried that yet.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I’m glad I gave Jica Foods a shot. They’re a tasty, healthy snack that’s a little different from the usual stuff. I’ll probably buy them again, especially since I like having healthy options around the house. If you’re looking for something new to try, I’d say give them a whirl!
