Well, howdy there! You wanna know about movies like that Corpse Bride, huh? That spooky cartoon one? Alright, I can tell ya a thing or two. Don’t expect no fancy words from me, though. I just tell it like it is.
First off, let’s talk about The Book of Life. That one came out in 2014, I think. It’s another cartoon, real colorful and pretty, you know? Got skeletons and spirits and all that jazz. It’s a love story, kinda like Corpse Bride, but with a Mexican twist. Lots of singing and dancing, real lively, even though it’s about dead folks and such. My grandkids, they loved it. Said it was real purdy to look at, and the music got ’em tappin’ their feet. You can probably find it on them computin’ machines, Netflix or Amazon, they call it.
Then there’s this other one called Mad God. Now, that one ain’t for the faint of heart, let me tell ya. It’s dark and scary, real creepy-crawly stuff. Took the fella who made it thirty years, they say. Thirty years! Can you believe that? It’s not exactly like Corpse Bride, mind you. It’s more… industrial, they say. Lots of gears and wires and things movin’ around. But it’s got that same kinda spooky vibe, you know? That feelin’ that you’re in a whole different world, where things ain’t quite right. I watched it once, and it gave me the shivers, let me tell ya. But if you like that kinda thing, go for it.

I can’t remember all their names, but there’s a bunch on that thingamajig, Letterboxd, they call it. They say there’s like, eighty movies like Corpse Bride! Eighty! That’s a lot of spooks and spirits, ain’t it? Some are on Netflix, some on Amazon, some on iTunes… You just gotta poke around and see what you can find.
