Well now, let me tell ya, if you liked that “Defending Jacob” show, you know, the one where the daddy’s tryin’ to help his boy out of trouble, then you might like some other shows too. It’s all about family and secrets, ain’t it? Just like real life, sometimes.
That “Defending Jacob” show, it was a real nail-biter. Made me think about what I’d do if my young’uns got mixed up in somethin’ bad. It’s on that Apple TV thing, my grandkid showed me how to use it. Anyways, there ain’t gonna be another season, so we gotta find somethin’ else to watch, right?
Now, there’s this other show, “Your Honor.” It’s kinda similar, ya see. Got this judge man, played by that fella from “Breaking Bad,” and he’s gotta protect his son too. He’s a respected fella in town, but his boy, well, he gets into a heap of trouble. This judge, he’s gotta do all sorts of things, some not so good, to keep his boy safe. It’s a real mess, just like life sometimes.
- “Your Honor” is a good one, if you like that kind of drama.
- It’s got that same feelin’ of a parent doin’ anything for their kid.
Then there’s “The Sinner.” That’s a different kind of show, but it’s still got that crime stuff goin’ on. Each season is a new story, new people, new crimes. It ain’t always about family, but it’s always about secrets and lies, just like in that “Defending Jacob” show. Keeps ya guessin’ till the very end, that one does.
And if you like them cop shows, where they try to figure out who did it, there’s a whole bunch of them. Someone was talkin’ ’bout “The Wire” and “Bosch.” Never seen ’em myself, but they say they’re real good. Lots of twists and turns, ya know? And if you want something with a lady detective, there’s “Broadchurch” and “The Fall”. Heard they are mighty fine too. “Unbelievable” is another one folks say is good. Guess there’s a lot of crime shows out there if you go lookin’ for ‘em.
It seems like everyone likes a good mystery, don’t they? Wanting to know what happened, who did it, and why. That’s why these shows are so popular, I reckon. They make you think, make you wonder what you’d do in that situation.
But sometimes, these shows, they get a bit too real, ya know? Makes you think about the bad things that can happen in the world, the things people do to each other. Makes you wanna hug your young’uns a little tighter, that’s for sure.
So, if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to watch after “Defending Jacob,” there’s plenty out there. Just gotta find what you like. Some are about families, some are about cops, some are just plain twisted. But they all keep you on the edge of your seat, that’s for sure.
And remember, it’s just a TV show. Don’t go gettin’ any ideas now! Real life ain’t always like what you see on the screen. But it’s fun to pretend sometimes, ain’t it? To escape into a different world for a little while. That’s what these shows are for, I guess.
So go on, find yourself a new show to watch. There’s plenty to choose from. And who knows, maybe you’ll find one even better than “Defending Jacob.” But I doubt it, that was a pretty good one.
