Okay, so I’ve been on this zombie movie kick lately, right? And after watching “Army of the Dead,” I was like, “I need MORE.” So I started digging around to find flicks with a similar vibe.
My Search Mission
First, I jumped on Google. You know, the usual – typing in stuff like “movies similar to Army of the Dead” and “best zombie heist movies.” I scrolled through a bunch of articles and lists, jotting down anything that sounded remotely interesting.
Then, I hit up some of my favorite movie forums. I figured real people might have better suggestions than some random website. I posted a question asking for recommendations, and waited for the replies to roll in.
The Watchlist
Based on my research, I put together this list:
- “Train to Busan”: Everyone kept mentioning this one. It’s a Korean zombie movie on a train – sounds intense!
- “28 Days Later”: I found out it has fast zombies like in “army of the dead”.I remember seeing this years ago, but I figured it was worth a rewatch. It’s a classic, and apparently, it inspired a lot of the “fast zombie” stuff.
- “World War Z”: Another one I’d seen before, but it’s got that massive scale of zombie hordes, which is kinda cool.
- “Dawn of the Dead (2004)”: This is the remake, and people said it had a similar action-packed feel to “Army of the Dead.”
- “Peninsula”:It is said to be “Train to Busan” sequel,so I must give it a shot!
Movie Marathon Time!
I’ve already watched “Train to Busan” and “28 Days Later,”. “Train to Busan” was seriously awesome – super suspenseful and the zombies were crazy fast. “28 Days Later” was good too, but a bit more bleak and depressing.
Next up, I’m planning to watch “Dawn of the Dead” remake. I’m hoping it’s got that same over-the-top action that “Army of the Dead” had. Wish me luck!
