Okay, here is my sharing about movies like “The House That Jack Built”:
So, I was trying to find some movies that are kinda like “The House That Jack Built”, you know, that movie with all the crazy stuff. I really wanted to watch something similar. First, I just went on Google and typed in “movies like The House That Jack Built”.
I got a bunch of usual sites that came up, nothing special. But hey, they listed out some movie titles. I started to write down the names of those movies. It took me a while, and I also checked out some movie-watching sites to see what they were all about.
After looking around, I picked a few that sounded interesting. I tried watching a couple of them, one was “American Psycho”. It was pretty messed up, but not quite what I was looking for, you know? A little bit boring to be honest.
Then I watched another one called “Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer”. This one was darker and more disturbing. It’s all about this guy Henry and his messed-up life. It was definitely more like what I was expecting, pretty raw. I really enjoyed watching it. It gave me that same vibe as “The House That Jack Built”, I had to say, just a lot more realistic and gritty.
I watched a few more, but they weren’t really hitting the mark. Some were too much like horror, others were just too weird. “Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer” was the closest one to what I wanted. I still kept going and then I remembered reading about this director named Michael Haneke. The guy who made this movie called “Funny Games”. I watched the American version, but originally it’s an Austrian film. It was totally disturbing and messed with my head.
I ended up making a list of movies that I thought were kinda similar. Here’s what I got:
- Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer – This one’s really raw and messed up.
- Funny Games – Super disturbing, especially the scene.
- American Psycho – Pretty messed up, but a bit boring for me.
- The Silence of the Lambs – More of a thriller, but still pretty dark.
- Se7en – This one’s a classic, really dark and twisted.
