Alright, so I’ve been on this huge anime kick lately, and I kept hearing about “Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress.” People were saying it’s got that “Attack on Titan” vibe, and since I loved AoT, I figured, why not? So, I decided to dive in and see what the fuss was all about, and also find some other anime that were like Kabaneri.

My Search Begins

First, I watched “Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress.” I gotta say, it’s pretty intense! Steampunk zombie apocalypse? Yes, please! The action scenes are awesome, and the characters are pretty cool, though maybe not as deep as some other shows. Still, I was hooked.

Then started my hunt. I wanted to see if there were any other anime out there that gave off the same vibe, it is like searching for a needle in a haystack. I went through some different methods.

Digging Through Forums and Lists

My next step was to hit up the internet. You know, the usual spots – anime forums, Reddit threads, those “Top 10 Anime Like…” lists. I figured other fans would have some good suggestions. And boy, did they! I started making a list of all the recommendations that sounded interesting.

  • Some people said “Attack on Titan” (which I’d already seen, obviously).
  • “Black Bullet” came up a few times.
  • And I saw some mentions of stuff like “Seraph of the End” and even some older shows.

Giving Them a Try

So, armed with my list, I started watching. I checked out a few episodes of “Black Bullet” – pretty good, definitely had that “humanity fighting back against impossible odds” thing going on. “Seraph of the End” was a bit more…vampire-y…than I expected, but still had some of the same themes.

The Verdict

Honestly, it’s tough to find something that’s exactly like “Kabaneri.” It’s got a pretty unique style. But, if you’re looking for that same feeling of intense action, a post-apocalyptic setting, and humans fighting against monstrous enemies, there are definitely some good options out there. It’s all about finding what clicks with you, I guess.

My journey is not over.I decided to go * me, it’s all part of the fun – discovering new shows and seeing what else the anime world has to offer!
