So, my kid got really into “The Baby-Sitters Club” on Netflix. Like, really into it. After we binged both seasons (twice!), she was desperate for more. And, honestly, I kinda was too. It’s a wholesome, fun show! So I started my search for finding more of that good stuff.
First, I went,of course,straight to google. I typed in “movies like The Baby-Sitters Club”. Because, well, that’s the most straightforward way, right? I got a bunch of articles, some were okay, some were useless.
Then I scrolled through the “People Also Ask” section. It gave the common suggestions, you know, other teen girl movies, but they are pretty old school, it’s not very relatable.
Digging Deeper
Next, I started thinking about why we liked “The Baby-Sitters Club.” It wasn’t just about babysitting. It was about friendship, growing up, dealing with family stuff, and being, you know, a decent human being. So, I started playing around with some different search terms.
I tried a combination of things like:
- “movies about female friendship tween”
- “coming of age movies like babysitters club”
- “wholesome movies about growing up”
This yielded some slightly better results. Instead of just listing random popular teen movies, I was at least getting results for movies with girls friendship.
After spending some time on these, I found some good ones,and we started to watch them together. It turns out great!
