Alright, so, you wanna know about that movie, “I Believe in Santa,” huh? Okay, okay, I’ll tell ya what I know. Don’t expect no fancy words though, I just talk plain.
This “I Believe in Santa” thing, it’s on that Netflix thingy my grandkids always watch. It’s one of them Christmas movies, you know? Boy meets girl, girl meets boy, that kinda stuff. Real sweet and sappy, like them candies they sell at the store during Christmas. Only, this one, it’s got a little twist, or so they say.
See, there’s this gal, Lisa, and this fella, Tom. And they fall head over heels for each other, real fast like. Like, *bam*, love at first sight, or somethin’. The movie, it’s all about them two, their love story and all that Christmas cheer. They call it a “utopian romance.” Don’t ask me what that means, sounds like somethin’ them city folks made up. All I know is, they’re all lovey-dovey and happy, which is nice, I guess. We all like a bit of happy, don’t we?
- They meet cute, you know, like in them old movies.
- Then they do all sorts of Christmas-y things together.
- And then, well, you kinda know how it ends, don’t ya? They live happily ever after, or somethin’ like that.
Now, some folks online, they say this movie is a bit… what’s the word… unhinged? Yeah, that’s it. Unhinged. Means it’s kinda crazy, I reckon. They say there’s like 22 moments in the movie that are just plain wild. I didn’t count ‘em myself, mind you. I was too busy tryin’ to figure out where they got all them fancy decorations. My Christmas tree never looked that good, I tell ya.
But the main thing, the thing everyone’s talkin’ about, is Santa. You know, the big guy in the red suit. Apparently, this movie makes ya believe in him again. Not that I ever stopped believin’, mind you. When you got grandkids, you gotta keep the magic alive, you know? It’s for them, not me… mostly. Anyways, the movie, it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, like a good cup of cocoa on a cold winter night.
They say 85% of little kids believe in Santa. Four-year-olds, they’re the biggest believers. Even the six-year-olds, most of them still think he’s real. And you know what? That’s a good thing. Let ‘em believe. It ain’t gonna hurt nobody. Childhood’s short enough as it is, let ’em have their fun. Let ‘em dream of reindeer and elves and presents under the tree. It’s what Christmas is all about, ain’t it?
So, this “I Believe in Santa” movie, it’s a love story, a Christmas story, and a story about believin’. Believin’ in love, believin’ in magic, and believin’ in that jolly old fella in the red suit. It ain’t perfect, mind you. No movie is. But it’s sweet, it’s heartwarming, and it’ll probably make ya smile. And sometimes, that’s all you need, ain’t it? A little bit of happy, a little bit of love, and a whole lotta Christmas spirit.
And if you’re wonderin’ about the ending… well, it’s a happy one. It’s Christmas, after all. They all live happily ever after, or somethin’ like that. Just like them fairy tales my grandma used to tell me. Good people get rewarded, bad people get what’s comin’ to ‘em, and everyone learns a lesson or two. That’s how it should be, right? That’s how the world should be, if you ask me. But then again, nobody ever asks me.
So, go on, watch the movie if you want. Or don’t. Makes no difference to me. I’m just tellin’ ya what I heard, what I know. It’s a Christmas movie, a love story, and it’s about Santa. What more do you need to know? Just grab some popcorn, settle in, and enjoy the show. And Merry Christmas, ya hear?
