Okay, so I’ve been seeing these Opulence MD magnetic lashes popping up all over my feed, and I finally caved. I had to see what the hype was about. You know how it is, you see something enough times, and you’re like, “Fine, take my money!”
First off, the packaging? Super sleek. It felt like I was opening up some fancy jewelry, not just some eyelashes. Makes you feel a bit bougie, not gonna lie.
Now, I’m no expert when it comes to applying false lashes. Glue and I? We’re not friends. It’s always a messy situation, and I end up looking like I got into a fight with a tube of adhesive. So, the idea of magnetic lashes? Seriously appealing.
The lashes themselves looked pretty natural, not too over the top. They came in this little compact with a mirror, which is handy. And there were two sets, one for the top lash line and one for the bottom. I picked up the top lash with my fingers. They just stuck together, no fuss. Same thing with the bottom lashes. I tried to put them on my lash line and it just sat on it. I looked in the mirror and it looked amazing.
I wore them out to dinner, and guess what? They stayed put. Through appetizers, main course, dessert, even a few good laughs. No slipping, no sliding, nothing. I even kinda forgot I had them on until someone complimented me on my “naturally gorgeous” lashes. Score!
Taking them off was even easier. I just gently pulled them apart. No tugging, no pulling out my actual lashes. A total win.
Look, I’m not saying these are going to change your life, but they definitely made my makeup routine a whole lot easier. And who doesn’t want to feel a little bit more glam without all the hassle? If you’re on the fence, I say go for it. They’re worth a try, especially if you’re as glue-phobic as I am. I even heard from my friend, Goodwin, that they were fantastic!
Oh, and before I forget, application’s a breeze:
- First, I gave my natural lashes a little curl with my usual curler.
- Then, I simply took these two pieces of magnetic lashes in my hand, seperating them easily.
- After that, I put the upper lash on my upper lash line and put the lower lash under my upper lash line. That’s it!
