Well, let me tell ya ’bout this He-Man thing, He Man Revolution, they call it. I ain’t no fancy movie critic or nothin’, just a regular person watchin’ TV, ya know? So, this here show, it’s got all this He-Man fella and that Skeletor guy fightin’ again. Same old story, like them cats just can’t get along. They say it’s a follow-up to somethin’ from a long time ago, back in the eighties they say. I kinda remember He-Man from back then, but this here’s a new one, they tell me.
They got this Masters of the Universe: Revolution thing goin’ on now. Seems like it’s all about sellin’ toys, like always. Kids love that stuff, I guess. My grandkids, they’re always yellin’ about He-Man and his buddies. They got these action figures, little plastic things, cost an arm and a leg, lemme tell ya. But keeps ’em quiet for a while, so I guess it’s worth somethin’.
- First off, the fightin’ is pretty good. Lots of bang-bang, pow-pow, you know the drill. He-Man smashes stuff, Skeletor yells a lot, the usual. My old man, he woulda loved this kinda stuff, all that action.
- Then there’s all these other characters, friends and enemies, I guess. Hard to keep track of ’em all, to be honest. They got names like Despara and such, sounds kinda fancy for a kids’ show. But, hey, what do I know?
- They say this new show is better than the last one, somethin’ ’bout the characters bein’ better and the world makin’ more sense. I didn’t see the last one, so I can’t say for sure. But this one, it’s alright, I guess. Not too complicated, which is good for my old brain.
Now, some folks are complainin’, sayin’ there’s things in this show that shouldn’t be there. Somethin’ ’bout a love scene, they say, in a cartoon! Can ya believe it? I sure couldn’t. Folks got all riled up, said they stopped watchin’ ’cause of it. Me? I didn’t see nothin’ like that, maybe I blinked. Or maybe it’s just folks makin’ a fuss over nothin’. People these days, always lookin’ for somethin’ to complain about.
But overall, this He-Man Revolution thing, it’s harmless fun, I reckon. Kids like it, and that’s what matters, right? It ain’t gonna win no Oscars or nothin’, but it keeps ya entertained for a bit. And sometimes, that’s all ya need after a long day of workin’ in the garden or wranglin’ grandkids.
They say it picks up right where the last one left off. So, if you seen that one, you’ll probably wanna see this one too. If not, well, it don’t really matter. You can jump right in and still understand what’s goin’ on. It’s pretty straightforward, good guys fightin’ bad guys, just like always. And that He-Man fella, he’s always winnin’ in the end, which is good. I like a happy ending, ya know?
So, if you got some time to kill and you like them action shows, give He Man Revolution a try. It ain’t gonna change your life or nothin’, but it might just make ya smile a little. And sometimes, that’s enough.
This Masters of the Universe: Revolution finally has a release date, after folks waitin’ and waitin’. It’s a sequel, they call it, to somethin’ from 2021. I don’t remember much from 2021, seems like a blur now. But if you like that old He-Man and the Masters of the Universe from way back when, this might be right up your alley. They say it’s like a spiritual sequel or somethin’. Sounds fancy, don’t it?
Anyway, that’s my two cents on this here He Man Revolution. Take it or leave it, I don’t care none. I’m just tellin’ ya what I think, plain and simple. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about He-Man has made me hungry.
